چکیده

Human activities and climate change are the main factors causing habitat loss, jeopardising survival of many species, especially those with limited range, such as endemic species. Recently, species distribution models (SDMs) have been used in conservation biology to assess their extinction risk, environmental dynamics, potential distribution. This study analyses potential, current future range Salvia ceratophylloides Ard., an perennial Lamiaceae family that occurs exclusively a suburban area city Reggio Calabria (southern Italy). The MaxEnt model was employed configure using bioclimatic edaphic variables, predict suitability relation two scenarios (SSP245 SSP585) for periods 2021–2040 2041–2060. field survey, which spanned 5 years (2017–2021), involved 17 occurrence points. According results model, is 237.321 km2, considering preferred substrates land-use constraints re-estimated 41.392 km2. obtained from SSP245 scenario shows decrease suitable 35% period 28% 2041–2060 period. SSP585 increase hosting 167% 171% Assessing variation related impacts makes it possible define priority areas reintroduction situ conservation. Identifying presumably at risk or, on contrary, paramount importance management plans ceratophylloides.

Species distribution modelling of invasive alien species; Pterois miles for current distribution and future suitable habitats

The present study aims to predict the potential geographic distribution and future expansion of invasive alien lionfish (Pterois miles) with ecological niche modelling along the Mediterranean Sea. The primary data consisted of occurrence points of P. miles in the Mediterranean and marine climatic data layers were collected from global databases. All the used models run 100% su...

Modeling Current and Future Potential Distributions of Caspian Pond Turtle (Mauremys caspica) under Climate Change Scenarios

Although turtles are the most threatened taxonomic group within the reptile class, we have a very limited understanding of how turtles respond to climate change. Here, we evaluated the effects of climate changes on the geographical distribution of Caspian pond turtle (Mauremys caspica). We used an ensemble approach by combining six species distribution models including artificial neural network...

Guaianolide and seco-Guaianolide from Salvia nubicola (Lamiaceae)

Salvia is one of the famous genera of the family Lamiacea previously called Labiatae comprising about 800 species throughout the world [1]. Most of the members of this genus are known due to their biologically active chemical constituents specifically reported for anti-tumor activity [2]. A number of Salvia species are used in folk medicines. For example, S. cavaleriei is used for the treatment...
